We love what we do, and you will too

Great Preparation is Everything

From scraping and sanding to caulking and sealing, we use the proper techniques in the correct order with the best products to ensure your paint job will look great for many, many years.
Residential Exterior Painters

Residential Exterior Painting ExpertsThe combination of priming and finish paints with the right number of coats is what will protect your home for the long term. Whether you home has wood siding, stucco, aluminum or vinyl siding, James Hardie siding or brick, our skilled painters will apply only the best products available for your home's specific needs.

While design options can seem almost endless, for construction it comes down to fiberglass, vinyl, aluminum, steel, wood and clad-wood offerings.
Your choice depends on what factors are most important to you.

Preparation

Below are the steps we take on your Exterior Home Painting project. Your situation may vary depending upon your needs as outlined on your Proposal.

Wash - As per your proposal, areas are either power washed or hand washed to remove dirt and mildew.

Surface Prep - Based on your exterior painting proposal, all loose paint is scraped and all glossy areas are scuff sanded. All gaps are caulked to prevent water intrusion.

Paint - Repaired areas are primed and premium quality paint is applied to a uniform finish. We provide both spray and brush applications depending on your needs.

Clean - Clean up is done regularly, as well as at the completion of our work. Paint chips are removed and all our materials are packed up and stored neatly.

Inspect - After our own inspection, you are invited to inspect our work and asked to provide a review with a third party survey company so all of our potential clients can read your honest assessment of the work we did for you!

Choosing a Paint System

Choosing the Right Primer and Paint Combination for Your Project

The combination of primers and paints we apply, the paint system, is the coating that will stand between your home and the elements. With us, you receive only the best materials and a primer/paint pairing that takes into account all the unique characteristics of your home. Typical paint systems include:

Spot Prime/One Finish Coat
Primer is applied only to areas that have been prepared because the existing paint film is in good condition in most areas. If your home's existing paint is still in pretty good condition and you are not planning to change colors, this is an inexpensive paint system that provides adequate protection.

Spot Prime/Two Finish Coats
As with the previous paint system, primer is only applied to prepared areas. However, two finish coats offer more protection if the existing finish paint is degraded or chalky. Additionally, a color change, however slight, usually requires two finish coats to ensure uniform coverage.

This paint system is an upgrade to the Spot Prime/One Finish Coat system, provides more protection, lasts longer, and costs more due to the material and labor to apply the second finish coat.

Full Prime/One Finish Coat
In some instances the level of degradation of the existing paint requires a full prime coat so that the finish coat has a solid base to adhere to. This primer coat can be tinted to match the finish coat and help it cover. Moderate color changes can usually be achieved with this paint system, but a second finish coat may be necessary in some instances or on some areas of your home.

In specific situations, based on the existing paint's condition and other factors, this is the appropriate paint system as it allows the primer and paint to form a bond more appropriate than the bond between two finish coats. Its cost is similar or slightly more than the Spot Prime/Two Finish Coats system.

Full Prime/Two Finish Coats
This is a high performance paint system that is often most appropriate for new construction, renovations, or very particular dramatic color changes. It usually last the longest of the paint systems listed, but comes with the associated costs of more materials and labor.
