FEATURED COMMERCIAL ROOFING PROJECT

Fire Damage Repairs and a New TPO Roof in Barnesville

A fire a couple of units down melted the TPO roof over Bankston Barber Shop and Salon in Barnesville, GA, and left smoke damage through the shop. We replaced the roof and put the inside back together.

Project Overview

PROJECT TYPE

Commercial roofing and interior repairs

SCOPE

TPO roof replacement, flooring, floor decking and framing repairs, lighting and paint

BUILDING

Downtown brick storefront

THE FIRE

A Fire Down the Block

A fire damaged units a couple of doors down from the barbershop. The heat melted the shop’s existing TPO roof, and smoke damage meant a lot of work inside as well.

BEFORE

BEFORE AND AFTER

The Roof

The heat melted and scorched the old TPO membrane. We tore off the damaged roof and replaced it with a new TPO roof.

BEFORE

AFTER

INSIDE THE SHOP

Smoke Damage, Floor to Ceiling

We pulled out all of the LVP flooring, repaired the floor decking and framing problems we found underneath, and put down new flooring. Every wall and every piece of trim got new paint.

THE LIGHTING

Lighting Built for a Barbershop

Separate from the insurance claim, the shop upgraded the electrical and replaced the old lighting with fixtures that better suit a barbershop.

THE FINISHED SHOP

Back to Cutting Hair

New roof overhead, new floors underfoot, fresh paint and better light. The fire was the night of March 2, 2026, and Bankston Barber Shop and Salon held its grand reopening on April 11, 2026, 39 days later. That’s Dan giving Thomas Williams the first haircut back.

“Best in the business! Addressed all issues and concerns in a timely fashion kept the project on target date. Communication was flawless throughout the whole process.”

Dan Bankston, Bankston Barber Shop and Salon, Barnesville
