From Shingles to Standing Seam
The house had an aging shingle roof, and the painted siding on the gables and chimney chase was failing at the trim. We replaced the roof with standing seam metal in Burnished Slate and re-clad the gables, the chimney chase and the screened porch in James Hardie ColorPlus siding in Arctic White.

The Chimney Chase
The old chase had rotted trim and peeling paint. It’s now clad in ColorPlus siding, which comes prefinished from James Hardie, and it meets the new metal roof cleanly.

THE ROOF
Standing Seam Metal in Burnished Slate
Standing seam panels run from ridge to eave with the fasteners hidden under the raised seams, so there are no exposed screw heads on the roof. The same roof carries over the front porch.

New James Hardie ColorPlus soffit and fascia in Arctic White, matched to the siding.
THE FINISHED HOME
Brick, White Siding and a Metal Roof
Red brick, white ColorPlus siding and a Burnished Slate standing seam roof. The screened porch got the same siding as the rest of the house.
