THE ISLAND
An Island Centered on the Range
The old island sat off center from the range, and it had bothered the homeowner for a long time. We replaced it with a new island built with Fabuwood cabinets, centered on the range, and installed Taj Mahal countertops and backsplash.
THE HOOD
A Custom Wood Vent Hood
We built a new custom wood vent hood around the existing vent and stained it to match the new floors. New plumbing fixtures went in too.
THE FLOORS
New Hardwood Across the Main Level
Moving the island meant patching the old engineered floors, which squeaked when you walked on them. Instead, the homeowners replaced all of the main-level hardwood with unfinished engineered hardwood that we sanded and stained on site, so it could match the other stained wood in the house. Some cabinets were painted to keep the colors consistent.
THE FOYER
A Tile Inlay at the Foyer
At the foyer we set a 24×24 tile inlay into the new hardwood. Upstairs, we also remodeled three bathrooms for the family. Watch the homeowners see the finished kitchen and all three bathrooms for the first time in the video below.
