WHY TIFTON

A Homeowner Who Wanted TimberTech Done Right

Tifton is outside the area we normally work. The homeowner couldn’t find a contractor who would come install TimberTech, and when he searched the contractor list on TimberTech’s website, we were the only one that came up.

On our first call, we told him it was farther than we usually go. He told us he needed someone who knew how to install TimberTech, and he was willing to pay for the extra travel. So we drove down, met with him and took the job.

THE TRANSFORMATION

Before and After

The old wood deck boards had weathered badly. Every one of them came off and was replaced with TimberTech Reserve in Antique Leather.

A COHESIVE FINISH

One Deck, Several Levels

This deck has several levels, steps and sections along the water. The new TimberTech boards run across all of it, so the whole deck matches.

CUSTOM DETAIL

A New Curved Section by the Pool

Most of the deck was resurfacing: we reused the existing frame, added more support underneath and put down new boards. The curved section near the pool is different. That part is new, with a whole new frame and new deck boards. We also capped all of the built-in bench seating with TimberTech so it matches the new decking.

THOUGHTFUL EXECUTION

Steps and Landings

The steps and landings between the deck levels got the same TimberTech boards as the rest of the deck.

BUILT AROUND THE SETTING

Down to the Water

The new decking runs all the way out to the water’s edge.

THE FINISHED RESULT

A Deck Worth the Drive

It turned out to be an extremely nice project. One note about the photos: the pool isn’t ours. Another contractor installed it. Our part was the TimberTech decking and the bench seating.
